The "particle accelarator" comprises the outer-most ring of the "disc craft's" hull. It is comprised of fiber-optic cables that can allow electricity to be sped up to the speed of light. This serves as the "brakes" for the "disc craft" by determining the velocity travelled by the exterior of the ship itself.
