A photon starting at the centre of the sun and changing direction every time it encounters a charged particle would take between 10 000 and 170 000 years to get to the surface. At the top of the atmosphere sunlight is about 30% more intense, having about 8% ultraviolet (UV), with most of the extra UV consisting of biologically-damaging shortwave ultraviolet. Direct sunlight has a luminous efficacy of about 93 lumens per watt of radiant flux, higher than most artificial lighting, including fluorescent. Multiplying the figure of 1050 watts per square metre by 93 lumens per watt indicates that bright sunlight provides an illuminance of approximately 98 000 lux (lumens per square meter) on a perpendicular surface at sea level. The illumination of a horizontal surface will be considerably less than this if the sun is not very high in the sky. Averaged over a day, the highest amount of sunlight on a horizontal surface occurs in January at the South Pole (see Insolation.)""

how much does anyone want to bet me there will be a major, earth-directed solar flare to occur on October 20th? It would be 3 days later arriving, and it would be mostly blocked by the earth's moon. My basis for this prediction is that 10-20-2014 would fall on the 11:11 time-wave cycle applicable to (at least) this peak era of the sunspot cycle. I calculate the statement that "10-20-2014 would fall on the 11:11 time-wave cycle" based on the fact that it is a fractal (recombination of the same variable sums) to the date 1-1-2024, the "end-date" for this final unit of the "peak sunspot cycle" predicted by the 11:11 time-wave cycle. it should be possible, based on the given data, to predict the event of each (earth-directed) sunspot's solar flaring down to their single second of occurrence.

the wind god, god K, is sometimes speculated to be "Kukulkan," the famed "feathered serpent" who would appear only at the "end of time" or date of the next predicted apocalyptic event like the flood at the end of the "3rd sun" recorded in the Popul Vuh as the "destruction of the wood monkeys." If Bolon Yokte IS actually "god K" and / or "Kukulkan" UNMASKED, as in the legendary Hopi myth about the "blue star kachina," it would explain much about the significance of Bolon Yokte as symbolic of the Mayan "end date" (dec. 21, 2012 ad, gregorian).

the two most important questions we can ask about the magnetic pole reversal of planet earth are: 1. when this event occurs next (which will probably be during our own life-times), will it also cause geographic polar shift - relocation of earth's rotational axis itself - and/or geographic dislocation due to crustal displacement of earth's surface? 2. if the earth's magnetic poles reverse more frequently than crustal displacement and/or geographic pole-shifts occur, why does the magnetic pole sometimes reverse without it causing geographic / axial pole-shift?

""Novelty theory is a pseudoscientific idea that purports to predict the ebb and flow of novelty in the universe as an inherent quality of time. Proposing that time is not a constant but has various qualities tending toward either "habit" or "novelty". Habit, in this context, can be thought of as entropic, repetitious, or conservative; and novelty as creative, disjunctive, or progressive phenomena. McKenna's idea was that the universe is an engine designed for the production and conservation of novelty and that as novelty increases, so does complexity. With each level of complexity achieved becoming the platform for a further ascent into complexity. When examining the King Wen sequence of the 64 hexagrams, McKenna noticed a pattern. He analysed the "degree of difference" between each successive hexagram and claims he found a statistical anomaly, which he believed suggested that, the King Wen sequence was an intentional construct. With the degrees of difference codified into numerical values, he worked out a mathematical wave form based on the 384 lines of change that make up the 64 hexagrams. McKenna was able to graph the data and this became the Novelty Time Wave. The graph was fractal, it exhibited a pattern in which a given small section of the wave was found to be identical in form to a larger section of the wave. McKenna called this fractal modeling of time "temporal resonance", proposing it implied that larger intervals, occurring long ago, contained the same amount of information as shorter, more recent, intervals. So according to novelty theory, the pattern of time itself is speeding up, with a requirement of the theory been that infinite novelty will be reached on a specific date.
