Although countless documents in the authentically Mayan language group’s unique
hieroglyphic script were siezed and burnt by Columbian Conquistadors and Jesuit
Monks alike, enough have survived in the possession of the Church and universities
to preserve some of the amazingly vivid visions of the S. American shaman-scribes.
